Call Trident Society
A call is all it takes to begin the process. We immediately send professionally trained personnel to the place of death to transport the deceased to a climate controlled holding facility for proper care and storage. By calling us first, we not only safeguard the privacy and dignity of the loved one, but also protect you from additional charges associated with other providers. Additionally, we will also notify the family members you have identified.
Complete necessary forms with our help
By law, certain forms, certificates and authorizations must be completed before cremation can take place. In all cases, a death certificate is mandatory. It is completed by us with information provided by the family, then delivered to the physician and/or medical examiner for signatures regarding cause of death. The time it takes to obtain these signatures varies, especially if an autopsy or medical records are requested. Some requirements vary by state, so it makes sense to meet with a local Trident Society professional to ensure compliance. In any event, Trident Society will keep you informed.
Arrange for the cremation
The cremation usually takes place within 3-10 business days once the necessary authorizations and documents have been properly signed and have been filed with the local health department. This will vary, depending on the authorizations discussed in step #2, or any additional investigations related to the death.
