COVID-19 Cremation Assistance

Hands folded

Please accept our condolences on the loss of your loved one at this time of sorrow.

If the cause of your loved one’s death is Covid-19, a new federal program is providing financial assistance. The benefit, administered through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), provides eligible families up to $9,000 in reimbursement for cremation and funeral expenses, which may include scattering ashes, a memorial service, and keepsakes such as jewelry.

Learn more and find out if you qualify for reimbursement here. You can also find more information on the FEMA website.

In order to apply, you will need documents that include a copy of the death certificate and a receipt for funeral-related services provided by Trident Society. If we can be of service in helping you obtain documents, please contact your local Trident Society office to schedule an appointment.

Because of privacy issues, documents cannot be sent through the US mail or emailed to you. You can pick up the documents you need at your local office.

If you have any questions, please call FEMA at (844) 684-6333. We are always here to help you in any way possible.
