I am writing this to share with you my experience with the Trident Society.
A couple of years ago my husband contacted the Trident Society to set up a meeting so we could get information regarding funeral services. A representative came to our home and spent time with us giving us information and allowing us a lot of time to ask questions. There was never any push or any sales pitch. We talked it over and agreed to sit on it for a bit and do some more information gathering regarding funeral expenses and procedures.
A few months later I decided to sign on with the Trident Society. She was extremely easy to work with. A few months later my husband signed on as well. He was a Marine Corps Veteran so he wanted to be interred at Miramar National Cemetery. We found out that I can be interred with him. It was truly a relief having our funeral procedures and expenses taken care of. This is a difficult subject and not one that people are usually willing to discuss.
My husband passed unexpectedly the following year and, as you can imagine, it was a terribly difficult, emotional time for me. However, once the Trident Society was contacted they took over every necessary detail. They arrived at the house in a very timely manner. They were gentle, understanding, empathetic, and very professional. They covered him with the American flag as they left the house. The Trident Society contacted me during the next couple of days to let me know that everything was/would be taken care of. They continued to contact me to see if there was anything else they could do for me. They were wonderful.
A few weeks later the Trident Society contacted me to tell me I could pick up my husband’s urn. A friend came with me and she was very impressed with the Trident Society. After we got home, she, her husband, and her father immediately signed on with the Trident Society. Due to the Pandemic, I decided to postpone my husband’s memorial service until a later time.
A little over a year later I came to the Trident Society where I met you. I wanted to make sure all my husband’s papers were in order and to possibly reserve a date and time. I found out we were missing one form which you took care of immediately. You offered to check on available dates (I wanted a Monday for the beautiful horse and carriage) and to set up the Honor Guard. You called me the next day with a date and time which I elected to go with. You gave me a lot of necessary information regarding the ceremony; a florist (we took your recommendation and used El Camino Florist and they did a magnificent job), the process, the time, and all the necessary details. You were so thorough. I still had questions and called you several times prior to the memorial service. If you were not available, you called me back immediately. It was so comforting working with you.
The day of the memorial service went beautifully.
Kelly, I can’t thank you and the Trident Society enough for making a very difficult and emotional day so beautiful and so perfect. I thank you so very much.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Pugh
