Dwight Louis Ladd

Dwight Louis Ladd (Sonny) of San Jose, California passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the age of 89. He was born in Lavaca Arkansas. He was raised in San Jose, California and graduated high school, then went into the Navy in 1950 and served in the Korean War. He had many different careers over his lifetime but for the last 30 years, he restored artwork which was his passion. Anyone who knew him knows he had a big heart and was a friend to all at many different coffee shops in San Jose. Dwight is survived by his daughter Cindy Rockefeller and his three granddaughters Megan, Melissa, and Michelle; his sister Connie Latapie, her husband Bob, and many nieces and nephews; his foster daughter Roseann Olivera. The family would like to thank the Good Samaritan Hospital staff and providers for the care and compassion he received. Dwight wanted his remains to be scattered at sea off the coast of San Diego. Date and time to be determined.
