Helen M Hansen

Helen Marie Greene Hansen, a 55 year resident of San Jose, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the young age of 95. She was born on May 16, 1930 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the youngest daughter of Harold Raymond Greene and Edith May Robedee.

Helen was an active member of P.E.O. and the First Congregational Church of San Jose. She loved singing in the church choir and ringing the bells.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and the love of her life husband Douglas I. Hansen. She is survived by her nieces, Susan Tillman of Houston, TX, Polly Blondin of Bloomingdale, IL, Linda Grenier of Waterbury, CT; nephew Dick Sanford of Centreville, MA, cousin Fillmore Denton of Fenton, CA and Skip, Tracy, and Susan Reed who considered Honey a second mother having traveled with them on vacations to Lake Champlain and to their grandmother’s in Vt as well as taking care of them at their home in CT.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
