Mr. Braun was a very nice and special teacher who helped me along the way in my music experience.

Jason was one of my dear colleagues, a mentor, and a brother in Christ. Even though we worked together for less than two years, he really made a meaningful impact on my life. He taught me to see students through their eyes, not ours, and that was actually the heart of our last conversation. He reminded me that we’re perfectly imperfect but made whole through love. The way he looked at life and faith still stays with me, and he will be deeply missed. I pray that peace, joy, and love surround Ling, Jocylin, Lydia, and his family, just as Jason would have wanted.

Jason was a gentle soul with a great sense of humor. A kind man who I always look forward to chatting with on Thursdays. He will be missed.

Mr. Braun was an amazing teacher and was really devoted to helping us grow and improve. He will be missed deeply.

Mr. Braun was a very lovely and kind person. He was my 6th-grade orchestra teacher. He loved teaching, and he helped me enjoy music. He was a nice teacher, he helped many kids who needed it. Everyone loved his personality. I am very sorry for the loss of Mr. Braun.

In fond memories of our brother in Christ, Jason, we say farewell for now until we meet again in our eternal reward.
  We cherish the blessings of having come to know him, Ling and the girls while at their home in Sunnyvale during our prayer group gatherings in the back yard along with the gracious hospitality we received.
  Since relocating from Sunnyvale to Santa Rosa  8 years ago we continued to be blessed with Jason’s friendship and his stopping by for lunch on his way to Fortuna for his annual summer break as recently as last year.
  Jason will remain in our mind and heart forever!

Dear The Braun Family,

Being under his teaching for the 6th Grade Orchestra in Loyola was a dream come true. A moment of sudden shock at this news brought my heart down and faded away. Although this was a natural occurrence, Jason Andrew Braun tried his hardest to fight back for all the people he loved. If I were at the church to celebrate life, I think I would be holding flowers with a grip like no other. Our lord and savior, I truly believe that our lord will pass on his duty to Mr. Braun.

Dear Brauns,
Mr. Braun was my fifth-grade flute teacher, and I always loved it when I had sectionals. He made it fun for us all while teaching us very well. He was such a kind person, and it was always a pleasure to be with him.

Mr. Braun was a caring, kind-hearted music teacher who was loved by many.  He helped us develop a love for music, encouraging us with every step. I will remember the music scores with many, many decimal numbers and how he sang with us while teaching us the bow directions. 
You never appreciate someone fully until they are gone, and now, I realize the big role he played in helping shape my future, past, and present in music and life in general. He will be deeply appreciated and remembered by many.

Mr.Braun wasn't just a music teacher. He was a friend. The spark in his eyes would always shine bright no matter how difficult we were. I just wish I could say goodbye before he left. I feel horrible just thinking that the last time I saw him was the time I was excited to leave music class. He spread a trail of sunshine everywhere he went. I  hope he is happy where he is now. Although he is not here physically, he is in our hearts. We love you, Mr.Braun.

I remember you as a young boy playing  soccer with uncle Larry in your backyard when we visited your parents in Ca. Also your visit to Gulf Shores, Al and Pensacola. What a great visit! You talked about church to me and that was something I will remember about you. That you need to go to church. I’m praying for your sweet family who you were so proud of. They know you loved them and we will miss hearing from your mom about camping and hiking trips with you. Until we meet again Jason. Aunt Cindy

Dear Ling, Jocelyn and Lydia,

Jason's presence in our team will be  missed, but his kindness will always be remembered by many.

Jason was a member of our elementary music team. Our team of five teachers worked closely with each other teaching in seven elementary schools traveling to three schools each day. 
 He was a soft-spoken and kindhearted teacher, and we often teased him about holding onto his flip phone until just a few years ago. 

After working with him for seven years, I know that he loved old cars and had a favorite hat but what stood out most was the way he would light up whenever he spoke about his daughters—his love for them and his wife was undeniable.

Jason always hated taking our group pictures after concert concerts 😆 (see his expression in the picture). 

Outside of picture-taking, he was serious about music making, and lighthearted and authentic in day-to-day conversations. We always talked about how he was the calm in the storm. He was our creative problem solver, and a diligent servant when it came to doing things. 

Personally, I will miss our daily talks when at work. He was a great listener, a gentle encourager, and a solid friend.

Jason Andrew Braun. My 5th grade music teacher, has sadly passed away as of mar 11. My whole class has been in huge sorrow recently. I hope his family is doing well.
