Madeline Yaussi was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend to all who knew her. She passed away September 30, 2022 at home in San Jose, surrounded by her husband, John and two daughters, Cindy and Michele.
Madeline loved her work as an Elementary School Library Aide and later on as School Secretary in San Jose, where she was able to channel amazing organizational skills and love of kids for more than 30 years. She was an amazing cook and great baker who had the neighborhood reputation as the mom who always had treats in her house and room at the dinner table for extra kids.
Madeline and her husband John were avid travelers and always planning their next big trip. Their travels brought them all over the world but her favorite trip was their African Safari. When she wasn't on her "big" trips, she could be found spending time with friends, searching for the perfect card to send, crocheting an afghan blanket, or visiting her grandchildren making sure to spoil them any chance she had.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Milan Hart, and sister Barbara Riney. She is survived by her husband, John; daughters Cindy Caballero and Michele Santos; grandchildren Isabel, Noah, and Olivia; brother, Michael Hart; and sister, Margaret Palmer.
Funeral services will not be held at this time but a celebration of her life will be scheduled in the future. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
