Raul Xavier Rios passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the age of 65 in San Jose, California. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing. Raul was born on May 24,1958 in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Isidro Rios and Ana Maria Rios.
Raul is survived by his wife, Vivian Villasenor Rios, his daughter, Francine Rios-Kapowich (Ryan Kapowich) granddaughter, Khalia Annelise Kapowich, and his mother, Ana Maria Rios. He is also survived by his siblings: Ana Luz Rios, Ruth Villasenor (Jesse Villasenor) David Rios (Virginia Rios) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his Father, Isidro Rios and oldest brother, Jorge Rios (Renna Rios.)
In 1982 Raul married the love of his life, his wife, Vivian. Four years later, on November 6,1986, they welcomed home their little girl, Francine Marie Rios, who he immediately fell in love with and doted over. In 2008, he became a father-in- law to Ryan, who he treated as a beloved son. Raul had many passions in life, but his number one priority was his family and his faith in Jehovah God. Once his granddaughter Khalia was born, he became the proudest "Papa" in the world. In the final hours before his passing, he spent the happiest moments of his life playing soccer with his Grandaughter "KK" Khalia.
Raul was not afraid to show his feelings. Not one day went by where he did not express his love through words and actions. He was the most loving and genuine person you could ever encounter. On a daily basis, he woke up happy, singing, and dancing. There was never a dull moment with Raul. His beautiful smile could light up a room and his witty humor could be heard from a mile away. He will always be remembered for his friendly/talkative nature, his Frito Lay stories, his love of basketball, and for being a loyal San Francisco 49er fan!
There are not enough words to express how much we love and deeply miss his beautiful spirit. He will always be our pride and joy and we will continue to remember and honor his legacy.
