Reba Maria Richens

Reba Maria Richens Obituary Reba, 64, of San Jose, CA, passed away on April 20, 2017 after complications during open-heart surgery and is now at peace with the Lord. Reba was a wonderful sister and friend. She was truly loved by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Reba was born in Omaha, Nebraska and was raised in a military family, living in many cities before settling in the Bay Area. She is survived by her sisters Karen Richens, Candice Peel and Stephanie Boley; nieces Jaqueline Favreau-Martindale and Desiree' Favreau; nephews Weston Barkwill and Nolan McManus; and her beloved pets Bootsie and Cocoa. Reba graduated from Burlingame High School in Burlingame, CA, and Stephens College in Missouri where she received a BFA degree in Fine Arts. She later worked as an actress and model before settling on a career in counseling. In the last few years, Reba worked for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) helping those in need. Reba was a member of AA in the Mountain View and San Jose Chapters. She was very proud of her 26 years of sobriety. During that time she was devoted to helping others achieve that same goal. Reba's sense of humor, laughter, compassion, friendship and love will be missed.
