Bob's birthday popped up on Facebook today. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. Bob was twice a clinical supervisor to me, a colleague and a friend. I loved him and his incredible zest for life. My deepest sympathies to Phyllis and his sons.

I feel so bad that I just learned of Bob's death in January. He and Phyllis were long-time clients of mine, both when they lived in Pebble Beach and after they moved to Carmel Valley. Bob took personal interest in one of my sons who is a decorated Iraq War veteran with serious PTSD and drug abuse issues.

Bob was truly a good man. My heart goes out to his dear wife and the rest of his family.

I remember a number of times spent with Dr Sokol but none more than when he toured my daughters around the aquarium -- his enthusiasm, depth of knowledge, and simple kindness were in full display.  A great man who is missed.

Loved playing bridge with Bob and remember the Penticton Regional with Bob and Phyllis. I was saddened by the loss of Bob.

I knew Bob only during the last decade of his life.  We were partners at the bridge table on many occasions.  He shared many memories of his military career with me.  He knew that, as a retired Army officer, I would appreciate the ironies that affected his service.
Now he can get back to playing unrestricted golf.
