Always letting me know when that guy isn't right
including the one who stole the "Australian Asparagus" aka weed plant from you that night
Or the guy who gifted me a puppy to adore
without approval from you, that's for sure

You finally accepted the man I eventually would marry
when I introduced you to my new boyfriend named Larry
Finding the right guy did take a while
I am so incredibly happy that you walked me down the aisle

Five grandsons and two bonus granddaughters joined our crew,
You loved them all unconditionally, it’s true.
As the grandparent we could always depend,
Diaper explosions on your watch? It was just your trend!

You watched them grow into fine young men
Always expressing how proud you were of them
Cheering them on at life events and sports games
They were always so excited when you and Mom came

That recent night I supposed to meet friends and dance,
Little did I know, it was my last chance,
To share with you a bottle of fine wine,
And chat with you and Mom the whole night, losing all track of time.

Oh where to begin?
Let’s take a trip back,
When Rich and I were young,
And you and Mom had our lives on track.

You were always there to show us the way
through each and every day
you always ensured our road was paved
with every piece of advice you gave

Every morning routine went off without a hitch,
Even with the bathroom door wide open while you shit,
Having your breakfast on the throne with delight,
While chatting on the phone, starting the day just right.

Your beautiful mother taught you to live, love, and laugh with grace,
To mind your manners, and always embrace.
With a heart so big and full of cheer,
Her kindness and warmth were always near.
You learned these lessons through and through,
And passed them on to Rich and me too.

You taught us to waterski, snow ski, play team sports, and fish
Being able to do these things with you now, is my only wish

Fun times with the Koppinger fam
camping at laurelhurst and Lost Creek dam
Fishing, Water Skiing, and baking in the sun
Was the most that anyone could get done

The wonderful years of camping with neighborhood friends,
Days filled with joy we wished would never end.
Families of Rich, Jack, Gary, and Tim,
Each of them meant the world to you, through thick and thin.

Raising a stubborn teenage girl was tough,
But you never gave up, even when things got rough.
With patience so steadfast and true,
You guided me gently as I grew.

You always got mad when I wouldn’t pick up a broom,
But you were thrilled when I said let's paint my room.
You dashed to the garage in a crazy rush,
And came back grinning, handing me a paintbrush!

Your love for music and dancing was contagious
Ensuring our moves were on beat and outrageous
(well to be honest, Rich got the moves, I've got the love for music)
Playing guitar was your passion and ease,
With Waylon, Willie, and Buddy Holly as your keys

Our deepest condolences to your family. Sven was a great guy, always smiling and humorous. He will always be remembered in all the ways he touched our lives. A friend  and loved by many. May you all find strength at this time and cherish the memories that you made together.

A loving, caring man who touched all of our lives with his infectious smile and humor.  Always there to support you and help in any way he could.  Loving memories of you will always be in my heart.  You will be missed but never forgotten.❤️❤️

Bernita and Family, Annette and I awfully sorry to hear of Sven's passing. We will definitely miss his welcoming smile and warm personality.  May the Good Lord have everlasting mercy on his soul.
