Thomas Francis Hopkins

Thomas Francis Hopkins, born March 20th, 1961, passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2025, at the age of 63. He was a cherished husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather whose life was defined by his unwavering love and devotion to his family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Rosemary (1920-2015) and Francis (1917-2018), who provided him with a foundation of kindness and strength that he carried throughout his life. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Michelle, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. Together, they raised four sons: Patrick (Lauryn), Gregory (Julia), Andrew and Timothy (Emily). Thomas was also a proud and doting grandfather to Hayley (7), Sadie (3), Tipper (5) and Noah (1), who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

He is also survived by his brother and best friend Gerald (Karen), and his three nieces Grace, Maeve and Caitlin. Their love and companionship were a source of great comfort and joy throughout his life.

A man of great strength and humor, Thomas will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his generous spirit and his kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He loved with an open heart and found fulfillment in the simple joys of life: family gatherings and barbeques, playing and enjoying sports with his sons and watching his grandchildren grow. He leaves behind a legacy of love and humor that will continue to bless this family for generations.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Parish in San Jose, where Thomas was a long-time parishioner, on March 15th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

Thomas is deeply missed but will forever be remembered in the hearts of all who loved him.
