George Jerome Koen

He was born in Norman, Oklahoma on September 28, 1949 to parents Jack Sherman Koen and Dorothy (Koen) Brown.

George, also known as Jerry to many, moved to southern California as a young child and resided there for most of his life. He was a talented singer, songwriter and guitarist and also owned two hair salons in Orange County. In addition to his passion for music, he enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite football and basketball teams, caring for his dogs and spending time with his family and friends.

George was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by Jack Sherman Koen, Dorothy (Koen) Brown and Larry Brown, who was the only father he ever knew.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne Koen, his three children, Michelle Ignacio, Melinda Koen and Stephen Koen, his sister Sherene Hall, along with several other family members.

He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him.
