Joan Peggy Warner

Westminster, CA – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jo-An Peggy Warner-Plettinck on November 14, at the age of 93. A loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother. Joan was born on November 5, 1931 in Altadena, CA to James and Katherine Frazier. She went to grade school in Pasadena then on to Pasadena City College where she majored in Journalism. In 1969, she started her career with the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce as a secretary. She became the manager of the Fountain Valley Chamber in 1975. 1985 – 1992 Westminster Chamber – 1992- 2005 Downey Chamber. 41 Years of a career she loved! Joan was also involved with many clubs and organizations thorough out her life. If she was going to do something, she was all in. Joan’s love of books sent her to the Westminster Community Library where she volunteered and ran the Friends of the Library bookstore from 2010 to present.

Joan is proceeded in death by her parents, Kay and Jim, her siblings Joline Dabney, James Frazier Jr., Betty Dabney her best friend, Norman Warner Husband of 51 years. She leaves behind her husband Jean Plettinck of 20 years as well as her three children, Mark, Nancy and Paul. Mark Warner, Westminster CA, wife Lori, children Starla Newcomb, (spouse Scott) Ryan Warner (spouse Alyssa), Nancy Morgan, Arroyo Grande CA, husband Paul, son Corey Morgan (spouse DeLynn), Paul Warner Valencia, CA wife Jerlene and son Trent Warner. (spouse Ashley) six great grandchildren, Connor Newcomb, Aiden and Ava Morgan, Sadie Warner, Bailey and Blair Warner as well as loving Plettinck brothers and sisters.

Please know that if you knew Joan you were an important piece in her “quilt of life”.

We will gather to honor Joan in the springtime with a celebration of life TBD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Friends of the Library, Westminster, CA
