At 18 he joined the Air Force as an airman, graduated from Officer Training School and Pilot Training School and went on to become a pilot flying for Advanced Tactical Command and later trained the Vietnamese pilots to fly the OV10 Bronco. He rose to the rank of Lt. Col before retiring and went on to hold several positions as a controller and computer software engineer.
His hobby was building model airplanes and playing with computers, but his passion was playing golf twice a week.
He was preceded in death by both his parents as well as his wife Elaine, brother James and daughter JoAnne.
He is survived by his 2 sons, James and Michael, their wives Erin and Wendy and 4 Grandchildren, Danielle, Sean, Austin, and Taylor.
He was the best father a family could ever hope for, and he will be deeply missed.
