Becky leaves a void in all our lives... She was vibrant, loving, caring, kind, and so full of life. her laughter filled a room and was infectious. Becky made a career as a hair stylist and was excellent in her craft. There really was no one better. She also had a gift for making you feel welcome when you sat in her chair and became part of her 'extended family'. Her passion was to make you feel beautiful and good about your experience long after you left the salon.
Becky had a zest for life and she was an avid sports fan. If there was a game on, whether college or professional, she was armchair coaching and cheering them on. She loved a good competition and a game well played. Becky was an athlete in her own right. She played softball from the age of 7 and started playing volleyball in high school. She played on travel teams and Varsity for both sports for her Alma Mater, Fountain Valley High School and she loved every minute. Competition was in her blood and she used her competitive spirit to become a formidable pool player as well.
Becky also loved to be outdoors, whether it was at the beach or the mountains, spending time with friends or celebrating special occasions- especially birthdays, exercising, and enjoying a beautiful sunset.
Through all of Becky's accomplishments in life she was most proud of her two daughters. Ellison and Riley who are the loves of her life. She championed and cheered for them in their different goals throughout their young lives and into their adulthood. If you asked her about them she would share their talents, their latest life adventures, and where they were going in their lives.
To remember Becky is to remember that she loved.
She loved her family, her friends, her co-workers, her clients, her mentors, the homeless woman in New York Central Park that she met when she was a teenager.... but most of all she loved life and the two loves of her life - her beautiful daughters.
Becky's final gift and goodbye was through her organ donation. Upon Becky's death her organs were donated to multiple recipients who were given another chance to extend or in some cases save their lives so they too could enjoy another sunset and cheer on their favorite sports team.
Becky has left us; but she leaves behind a legacy of love and memories filled with laughter...loud and infectious laugter.
