Mrs. Virginia Faye Siever...she was a mother, grandmother, loved one, friend, confidant, Christian, road trip travel partner, memory maker and excellent hand creator/seamstress. To family and friends who knew her best, she preferred to be called Trudi. She loathed the name Virginia. LOL Trudi, will be remembered as a very exceptional and talented person.
She was the daughter of Virgil Robbins and Cecilia Dice. Tragically, when Trudi was only two years old, she lost her mom to Tuberculosis. Her father remarried.
Trudi had an older sister by the name of Betty Jean Robbins-Conard whom she was exceptionally close to and traveled often to see her in Coffeeville, Kansas. They had a great relationship and believed in creating memories together BEFORE they each died. Often times they reflected on funny experiences they had together and would laugh so hard they cried!
Trudi enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and a handful of very close friends during her lifetime. In her early twenties, she became friends with John and Diana Andre, Charles and Jerry Ross. Both couples were lifelong dear friendships. She used to say that she could only count her dearest friends on one hand, but if you are lucky enough to experience that in your lifetime, you are blessed.
Trudi, worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs she was blessed with 5 children. Two sons, Randy and Craig and Three daughters, Carol Ann, Terrie and Lisa. She had Grandchildren, Jason, Brent, Michael, Kevin, Steven, Melissa, and a beautiful granddaughter and grandson, fathered by Craig Siever and Great grandchildren as well whom she loved very much!
Trudi enjoyed what she did for a living. She had a very strong work ethic and worked diligently. Her primary occupation was interior design and sales. In her mid 70's she started a small business with her youngest daughter Lisa. Trudi was a leader often rolling up her sleeves and filling in when needed to get the job done, she would say, "I'll do it, but it won't be chincy!"
She loved to craft, but she wasn't the "crafty" type, she was an Artisan. She excelled in sewing, painting and interior design. She was a great teacher who wanted to pass down her crafting talents to anyone who wanted to learn, she was very patient. Her favorite pursuits were homemaking, gardening, baking, cooking, entertaining, sewing, crocheting.
Trudi was a woman who took pride in upholding her beliefs. So it is little wonder that she took an active role in her community, serving on committees for the Mothers Club at Heritage Christian School, active in her Church and donated a lot of her time.
Her faith was most important to her. She was a devoted Christian and a member Central Baptist Christian Church. She shared her love of God to all that would listen.
Trudi enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. Road trips were a favorite. For many years her and her daughter Lisa, would make their annual trip to Northern California to visit family then drop down to one of their favorite beach towns, Carmel-by-the-Sea.
When Trudi’s retirement finally arrived in 2001, she was well prepared. Her new life involved remaining in Huntington Beach, CA. In retirement, she found new pleasure in staying socially active. Even in retirement, Trudi continued to stay in touch with her old friends. She often socialized with a group of other retirees. They started a cooking club, threw great parties for all who lived in their community, crafted and enjoyed many socials together.
