Alyce Juanita Amarias, age 73 of Lake Elsinore, California passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she took her last breath. Alyce Juanita was born February 4, 1944, in Bakersfield, California. She was married to her husband Alan for 55 years in 1962. Alyce Juanita was the youngest of 15 children. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She was “famous” for her Strawberry Jam. She made the most beautiful specialty cakes for the senior centers. She loved the smiles that they would put on the faces of all the patients. Alyce Juanita loved to travel with her husband Alan in their RV. She loved country music (Dwight Yoakam and Alan Jackson). In the 1970’s Alyce Juanita was the head cook at Beverly Manor Convalescent Home. She also worked in many restaurants until she found the love of running her own In Home Daycare. Alyce Juanita loved her daycare kids. She treated them as if they were her own.
Alyce Juanita is survived by her husband Alan Amarias of Lake Elsinore, California; Daughter Tammi Payton of Temecula, California; Her Brothers: Charles Mayfield of Menifee, California - Willis Mayfield of Cincinnati, Ohio; Sisters: Wilma Johnson of McMinnville, Oregon -Joann Jacobson of Pleasanton, California; Her 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded by her Daughter Randi Rene Amarias, Son Lance Robert Amarias, her Parents Everett and Birdie Mayfield; Brothers William, Lawrence, Lloyd, Lester, Garland and Edgar; Sisters Ruby, Pearl, Hazel and Thelma.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 2-5pm at Lake Elsinore Marina Clubhouse, 32700 Riverside Dr. Lake Elsinore, CA 92530. Flowers may be sent to the clubhouse. Reception will immediately follow.
