Anna M Belfiore

Anna Belfiore passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024 at the Temecula Valley hospital, surrounded by her immediate and extended family, after a short illness and a years-long battle with dementia. She was 90 years old. Anna is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years, Louis Belfiore, who was her best friend and soulmate to the very end. She is also survived by her loving children Karen and Angela Belfiore, Angela’s husband Steve Braman, their children, Annalina and Vince Braman and his wife Maddie, her three sisters Rita McEvoy, Cecilia Malaspina, Patty Mossucco, and many nieces and nephews.

Born Anna Ballerini in Roselle Park, New Jersey, to Italian immigrant parents, Romualdo and Settimia Ballerini, Anna was one of 12 children. In 1960, she and Louie relocated to Southern California with their children, settling first in Montebello, and then Santa Ana before making Temecula their home for the past three decades.

Anna's most cherished role was as a homemaker, mother and grandmother, a task she undertook with grace and fortitude. She was a pillar of strength and love in her family, dedicating countless hours to caring for her grandchildren and providing them with unwavering support. Anna's renowned hospitality extended far beyond her family circle; her home in Temecula was a gathering place for friends and relatives from across the country, where she delighted guests with her delicious Italian cooking.

Anna’s faith in God and her deep patriotism were evident throughout her life. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and though she will be deeply missed, her family finds solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace in heaven, awaiting a joyous reunion with loved ones.

A private ceremony with immediate and extended family will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Riverside, CA, on August 13th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in memory of Anna Belfiore, a cause close to her heart.
