Archie Arnold Via

Archie Arnold Via, age 82, of Indio, CA passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Archie was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to his family. He was born in Blythe, CA on March 27th, 1939 and attended Palo Verde High School. Later on, Archie went to join the Navy, serving in Vietnam, on board the USS Lexington. He was also a long time member of Family Heritage Church in La Quinta, CA, where he proudly served his Lord Jesus Christ and Savior. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lily Via and his beautiful wife, Herminia (Minnie) Via. He is survived by his two sons, Rodney Via and his wife, Sylvia Via, Patrick Via and his wife, Cristina Portillo-Via. His grandchildren, Romeo (Allen) Via, Veronica Hashemi, James (Jacob) Via, and his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, and Victoria Via. Archie shall be remembered as a wonderful, kind, and intelligent man who taught us to always be respectful, kind, and generous. We will always remember his warm presence and hearty laughter! He will forever be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
