She was born to Jackson H. Gower and Margaret W. Bullard, Jan. 23, 1932 in Duffel, Ark.
She married Robert C. Pickett Sr, in 1980, and lived in Indio, Ca.
She is survived by two children, Carla Yount, of Indian Wells and Julie Muir of La Quinta.
She is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She had worked at the GTE/Verizon phone company for thirty-two years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made out to the Alzheimer's Fund.
