Betty M. Shubeck

10/30/1935 – 9/23/2017

Betty M. Shubeck passed away on September 23, 2017 surrounded by family

and friends at the age of 81. She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on

October 30,1935 to Hans and Minnie Nothdurft. Betty worked for the

San Bernardino Unified School District, retiring after 34 years as a Resource

Specialist at North Park Elementary School. Upon retirement, she spent 26 years

between her home in Calimesa and San Felipe, Mexico where she enjoyed

collecting sand dollars, seashells and gardening.

Betty is survived by Bill Shubeck, her husband of 44 years, son Rod Grotewold

(Kim), son Jeff Grotewold(Teresa), daughter Robyn Hottenroth(Carl), daughter

Teresa Schrader(Mike), 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother

Ben Nothdurft and many nieces and nephews.

Betty’s family will miss her steady presence, generosity and loving heart. Her

smile and love of family and friends will forever be cherished and never forgotten.
