Blanca Victoria Reese earned her heavenly wings on June 18, 2025 at the age of 79. She fought valiantly until the very end and passed peacefully. Her departure leaves and indescribable void in the hearts of those who loved her.
Born on July 23, 1945 in Quillmes, Argentina, Blanca lived a life marked by love, compassion and unwavering loyalty. She was intelligent, charismatic, and talented. She brought light and love to every room, offered strength in times of difficulty and cherished family above all else.
Blanca was the devoted spouse of Charles Irwin, sharing 18 years of marriage filled with shared dreams, adventures and unconditional love. Blanca was a constant source of support and joy – a true partner in every sense of the word.
Blanca was a grade school teacher in Argentina. She immigrated to the USA at 21 and earned a BS in Biology at UC Northridge. She went on to a career that included Laboratory management and Clinical Scientist. She spoke four languages fluently and painted, elegantly, in oils. Her passion for traveling the world was immeasurable.
Blanca is survived by her husband, Charles Irwin, her daughter’s family, Alexis, Jerod and granddaughter Autumn Aufderheide, her sister Zdenka Garciacelay, nephews Gus, Claude and George Garciacelay and countless friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
