OBITUARY
Carol Cokash was born November 4, 1940 to Henry and Victoria Cokash in
Medford, Massachusetts. She was a wonderful addition to her three brothers,
Henry, William, and James. Later, Martha joined to complete the familly. Carol
had a special bond with her brother James that was cemented even more so by their
love for Jehovah God. When she was falling asleep on November 30th, she was not
alone as James was right beside her, saying a prayer and holding her hand.
Upon graduating from Medford High School Carol began work in the business
sector that afforded her to support herself and later her ministry as a regular
pioneer. Her heart was full of love and kindness, always caring for others. She was
a person of great resilience and perseverance. Carol enjoyed singing, meeting
people, driving her blue Volkswagen Beetle, and she loved to travel. Her hobbies
included cooking and sewing, crocheting many beautiful afghans over the years
that she would give to friends.
What was most more important to Carol was her relationship with the Sovereign of
the Universe, Jehovah. In 1960 Carol dedicated herself and was baptized as one of
Jehovah’s Witnesses in Boston, Ma. She then began her life-long ministry as a
regular pioneer. Some of those loving friends that supported her ministry were
Warren and Dorothy Weil. It was with them she worked shoulder to shoulder in the
ministry and traveled, throughout the United States as well as abroad, which she
loved!
In 1971 Vicky (Mom), James and Carol set a goal to come out west to the Ocean of
Southern California. In 1972 that journey brought them to Arizona. Whether it was
preaching in the ice, cold, and snow of Boston or the 95-degree weather at eight in
the morning of Arizona, Carol was up for the challenge. Continuing their journey
to California’s coast, they found a temporary home in Moreno Valley, with the
Alessandro Congregation. There they developed long lasting friendships that grew
into a spiritual family; the Boyds, Gurrolas, Hernandez, Prills, Sanchezs, to name a
few, along with so many more. They finally reached their goal in 1999, arriving in
Oceanside, California, where they were welcomed by another warm loving
congregation.
Carol didn’t just share bible truths with people, she lived by them, displaying fine
godly qualities. One of Carol’s favorite scriptures describes the hope she had for
the future in Revelation 21:3 & 4.
LIFE WITHOUT END - AT LAST
SONG 140 (John 3:16)
1. Can you see with your mind's eye, Peoples
dwelling together? Sorrow has passed. Peace at last!
Life without tears or pain.
(CHORUS)
Sing out with joy of heart! You too can have a part.
Live for the day when you'll say, "Life without end, at
last!"
2. In those days all will be young, All at peace
with Jehovah. Troubles are gone, from now on, No
need to weep or fear.
(CHORUS)
Sing out with joy of heart! You too can have a part.
Live for the day when you'll say, "Life without end, at
last!"
3. Paradise all will enjoy As we sing of God's
glory. Long as we live, we will give Honor and praise
to God.
(CHORUS)
Sing out with joy of heart! You too can have a part.
Live for the day when you'll say, "Life without end, at
last!"
THANK YOU
