Dolores (Dee Dee) Rose of Bermuda Dunes, California passed away February 6, 2019 at the age of 85 years. She was born March 13, 1933 in Windber Pennsylvania. Dee Dee was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandma. Her late husband, Lee Rose once said to me, “After God made your mother, he threw out the mold.” She was truly one of God’s special children. Loved by everyone who knew her, she was kind and generous and there was always room for more “family” in her home. She was classy and elegant and she knew how to have fun. She was brilliant and talented, a gourmet cook who loved to entertain and threw parties friends and family will never forget. She loved children, especially babies and they loved her back. A member of Bermuda Dunes CC since the late 70s, she would have golfed every day if she could. There was so much more to her, but mostly she was and is a comforting light in the darkness. Cheers mama to a life well lived! We will miss you. Tons of LOVE…
“Death is not extinguishing the light.
It is putting out the lamp because dawn has come.”
Rabindranath Tagore
