Our family were members of the Upland Presbyterian Church. Don and Donna were Presidents of the Mariners Group at our Upland Presbyterian Church. He had a dream to buy property and start his own citrus grove with a house on the top of a hill. So we found the start of his dream in 1970. Moved to Temecula in 1977. The family enjoyed the country life. Don was President of the Temecula Lions Club when we moved out of Upland to Temecula. Don worked two jobs for about 10 years. He started out as a grocery box boy when he was 14 years old. Then he worked on up the ladder to a clerk and night manager. He became a route salesman for several bread companies and ended up with Oroweat Entenman’s for 25 years until he retired in 2001. So in total 48 years of hard work. When it got to be too much Don and his wife, Donna, moved to the Colony in Murrieta.
