James Donald Jones

James Donald Jones Sr. (84) of Moreno Valley passed away on the morning of September 23rd, 2022 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

James was born in the cross community of Blountville, Tennessee to the late Bonnie Faye Moore-Jones and Joseph (Tessie) Jones on March 11, 1938. James was the youngest of 7 children. James joined the Army as a Medic in 1961. After leaving the military James moved to California and built his life there with his family. James worked hard in his career as an aerospace engineer for 56 years at what was known as ROHR but is now known as United Technologies Corporation (UTC). He was given the nickname “Jonesy” by his coworkers early on. He dedicated himself to his work while providing for his family. James left an impression on all he came across. He will be remembered as a Selfless and kind hearted man who always put the needs of others before his own.

James was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Pauline Vance and Thelma Marie Broyles; brothers, Clovis McDowell Jones, Joe (J.D.) Denver Jones, Edward Gail Jones, and Jessie Wayne Jones; Parents joseph Jones and Bonnie Jones; grandparents, James Alfred Moore and Minnie Kate Moore; Ex-wife Darlene Eva Kipp-Jones; Sons Timothy Jones, Kenneth Frederick (Rick) Kipp, James Jones Jr.; and Grandson Cory Kipp.

James is survived by his daughter, Daughty Sanderson and husband Paul sanderson; Son, Ronald E. Kipp and wife Patricia Kipp.

Grandchildren- Michelle, Kimberly, Lisa, Dana, Jerry, Aaron, Casey, Meagan, and Timothy.

Great Grandchildren- Brooke-lynn, Landen, Avery, Aubrey, Ethan, Colette, Bonnie, and Kiaya.
