Jeanette Louise Panza Burton was a cherished wife, loving mother, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother and a loyal friend.
Jeanette passed away on October 12, 2024 at the age of 86 in Menifee, CA. She is survived by her loving husband Doug, daughter Eileen and son Paul and daughter-in-law Kari Burton; grandchildren Tony and Ariana and great grandchildren Grant and Jack Beavers.
Jeanette grew up in the San Fernando Valley where she met her husband Doug attending Van Nuys High School. They raised their family in Costa Mesa and later moved to Laguna Beach, Irvine and eventually to Hemet. Jeanette was primarily a homemaker and also worked for her husband in an administrative role at his general contracting company for about 8 years.
Jeanette loved jewelry and fashion and loved to shop. She enjoyed gardening, playing tennis and decorating her home. She loved going out to eat and going to the movies.
She was her own person and a bit of a character to those who knew her. She was genuine and honest and if she liked you, you were a friend for life.
During Doug and Jeanette’s 67 years together, they travelled to Mexico, Europe, Hawaii and South America.
Jeanette loved sports especially baseball and boxing. The sport of boxing was very dear to her because as a young girl she would watch it on TV with her father.
She loved dessert and made great meatballs for her son.
She loved the color yellow and on every wedding anniversary Doug would give her beautiful, yellow roses.
She also was a great Mom to her two fur babies, Bocelli and Freddie.
Most of all she loved her family. She was very much loved by her husband Doug, Eileen and Paul and extended family and friends.
She will be dearly missed.
