John Gordon Tariske

John Gordon Tariske passed away peacefully at his home in Cherry Valley, California while surrounded by his family on Friday, September 29th 2017. He was 76 years old. John was born on July 24th, 1941 in Muskegon, Michigan to his Father, Charles Joseph Tariske and Mother, Eva Tonie Hammond. John was a jack of all trades. He was an excellent chef and owned his own Mexican restaurant in Carson City, Nevada. He worked as a maintenance technician for over 25 years at the Rose Garden in Palm Springs, California where residents often sang John’s praises. He enjoyed gardening, Starbucks coffee and going to the river in Laughlin, Nevada. John also enjoyed spending time with his family and was always there to lend a helping hand.

John was proceeded in death by his Father, Charles Joseph Tariske, Mother, Eva Tonie Hammond, his wife, Janice Tariske, Brother, Dick Tariske, and Brother, Patrick Tariske.

He is survived by his 4 children, Kevin Tariske of Cherry Valley, California and Kevin’s spouse Teresa, Kregg Tariske of Hemet, California and Kregg’s spouse Beth, Kriss Tariske of Yucaipa, California, Ivy Eva Hampton of Cool, California and Ivy’s spouse Thomas as well as his brother Timothy Tariske of Hart, Michigan, his sister Marge Shada of Palm Desert, California and his sister Candy Paul of Sacramento, California. John enjoyed all 7 of his grandchildren and all 9 of his great grandchildren with his 10th expected to arrive in April of 2018.

Friends, family and others whose lives John touched are invited to John’s Celebration of Life which will be at John’s place of residence in Cherry Valley, CA. The date, time and location will be announced on this page in the upcoming weeks. We encourage all to attend and join us as we reminisce, grieve, share memories and most of all celebrate the life of our beloved Dad, Brother, Grandfather, Great grandfather and friend, John Tariske.
