Jose Antonio Uroza Jr.

On Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 3:30pm, Jose (TJ) Antonio Uroza Jr., loving husband to Robin Uroza and model father to three sons and a step-daughter, passed away at the age of 61, two days shy of his 62nd birthday.

TJ was born on January 1, 1959 in Puerto Rico, to Ofelina and Jose Uroza Sr. His parents moved to Chicago in March of 1960 when he was 1, and sister, Sandra was only 3 months old. He grew up in Chicago until his late teens then came to California.

TJ was a talented musician, who could play the guitar, trumpet, keyboards, or just play the "drums" using his fingers. He thoroughly enjoyed music with a passion, as well as taking long bike rides, building model planes, and watching either the Chicago Bears play football, or Dale Earnhardt race in Nascar. Even when Earnhardt unfortunately passed, TJ continued to be a fanatic and his collection of #3 merchandise proved so. TJ was a generous, loving, and very witty individual. It was nearly impossible to not notice, or feel his presence whenever he entered the room. He was a very socially skilled man, making him even more loveable, especially whenever his wit and humor came into play. He could make nearly anyone laugh if he really wanted to, and it was never at anyone’s expense. TJ had great respect and empathy for those around him since he had faced hardships in life, and that’s what made him the greatest role model he was. He always had the correct priorities in place and worked hard since he valued

responsibility.

TJ was preceded in death by his father, Jose Sr. He is survived by his mother, Ofelina; his wife, Robin; his three sons, Nicholas, (son of Corrine Neidrich), Beau and David; his step-daughter, Elizabeth; his sister, Sandra; niece, Michelle and her son, Gavin; and oodles of grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at Grace Community Church, 4247 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92503.
