My husband Kenneth Allen Mader passed away at 7:52 PM on April 8, 2025. He had been suffering with the side effects for the treatments for Stage 4 Kidney cancer. In 2010 while still living in the Bay Area a small tumor was discovered on his left kidney. An Ablation was performed, and we thought it had been removed/contained. We decided to have it checked in 2017 we discovered it was still there and after a biopsy it was determined to be cancerous. Another Ablation was performed, and we hoped it would at least contain it. We monitored it for the next few years then in 2023 it was discovered that it had grown, so another Ablation was performed. At first, all seemed to be going well, then in November 2024 the cancer was discovered to have spread. In January of 2025 Ken started treatments for cancer. The side effects were devastating. On Monday April 7 he kept saying he couldn’t get his breathe and he had trouble walking. We called 911 and he was taken to the ER. On Tuesday after being admitted to the hospital after Midnight the night before, he was still having problems. I had been with him most of the day and they thought he was stabilizing so I went home. A few hours later the hospital called to say his heart stopped.
