Kristina Kay Sinay

Kristina Kay Sinay, 77, of Palm Desert, CA, passed away on November 15, 2024. She was born on July 27, 1947, to Theodore and Betty Howe Bidwell in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The family lived in Michigan before moving to California, where Tina grew up.

Kristina is survived by her sons, Michael Kenney (Judy) of Austin, Texas, and Charles Kenney of Rancho Mirage, California. She is also survived by her grandchild, Logan Kenney, of Austin, Texas. Her first husband, Les Kenney, also survives her. She is also survived by her brother, Ted Bidwell, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Kristina graduated from La Habra High School in La Habra, CA, in 1965. During her tenure at the school, she was a flag twirler. After high school, Kristina married Les Kenney and resided in California before moving to England and Houston, Texas. She would get her degree in communications from Our Lady of the Lake University. Kristina’s career started with Compaq Computers, where she worked for eight years before moving to IBM. She spent three years at IBM before she was about to be transferred by IBM, so she took another job as the World Wide Communications Director for Motorola. She spent several years working for Motorola. She loved her job at Motorola. She retired from Motorola in 2002.

Kristina loved golf and traveling. In 2016, she met Richard Sinay, and they spent their honeymoon in St. Andrews, Scotland. She was married to Richard for seven years. They lived in Indio, California, before moving to Colorado Springs for two years to be close to her brother, Ted Bidwell, and Richard’s son, Brian, and his family. They then moved back to California and bought a home at Chaparral Country Club, where they played golf and joined the community. Tina loved Chaparral Country Club and the lifestyle it offered. She endeared herself to many people while living there.

A ceremony to honor her will be held at Chaparral Country Club on January 11, 2025. Instead of flowers, a contribution to the Palm Springs Rescue Center would be greatly appreciated.
