Lawrence “Larry” John Saindon was born in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence Saindon and Marie Daly on July 5, 1934. He was preceded in death by his two siblings, Patricia in 2004 and Gordon in 2018. And, by his eldest son, Larry Jr. in 2009.Larry passed away on February 22, 2019 after complications from an infection. Larry is survived by his wife, son, two daughters, daughter in law, step children grand children & great grand children.

Christopher Saindon, son, and his wife, Reanita. Their son, Timothy & his wife, Jamie & their children, Timothy Jr. Aeris, Sophie & Evelyn. And, their daughter, Amber Robinson & her husband Jordan & their daughter, Teagan.
Kimberly, daughter. Her son, Gary, & wife Alyssa, and their children, Shawn & Braeden.
Kelly, daughter. And her children Daniel,Tiana & Scarlett.
Kathy Saindon, daughter in law, and her daughter Laura Saindon.
Maryann Lloyd, stepdaughter and her partner, Max Schultz. Her daughters, Dayna Vance and Christina Lloyd. Son in law, Treavor & wife, Meagan and their sons, John & James.
Arthur Santilli, stepson, and his wife Marcia. His daughter, Shelly Humbert & husband, Chris. Son in law, Jeff Hamilton, daughter in law, Jennifer Goldsmith & husband, Zach & their sons, Adler & Miles.
Shortly after Larry was born, his family moved from Chicago to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Larry spent all of his childhood years in Albuquerque and resided there until the early 1970's.
Larry served in the US Navy from June19, 1952 until he was honorably discharged on June 18, 1960.
In 1957, he was married to Lois Kelly. Together they had Larry Jr. Chris, Kim & Kelly. Larry & Lois divorced in 1969 and Larry later moved to California.
In 1974, he married Ann on June 15th in Montebello, CA. Ann & Larry spent many happy years together. Throughout their marriage they enjoyed traveling the world together and with friends.
During his years in California, he was President of the So.California Credit Union for many of those years.
He also served on the Board of Credit Unions, representing credit unions throughout the US. While serving of that board, he had the honor of meeting and shaking the hand of President Ronald Reagan.
In his later years, when Ann & Larry moved full time to the desert, Larry worked for St. Francis Church, the Coachella Housing Coalition, City of Palm Desert as Housing Commissioner and served on the HOA board in his neighborhood. Over the course of his life, he acquired over 21 plaques of appreciation of service from different organizations.
We will remember Larry as… a good father & stepfather. One thing that brought him much joy was having his one hour a week Skype time with his son Chris. As a husband, who loved his wife, Ann, with all his heart. A person who proudly served his country, community and church. And, as a fighter, who fought with all his might against the infection that took over his body. And, finally, as a man at peace, once he knew loved ones and his God were there with him at the end.
Your presence is missed, your memories we treasure. Loving you always, forgetting you never.
