With heavy hearts, the Ferneborg family regrets
to announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, and sister.
Linda Douglass Ferneborg, age 75, died of cancer on Sunday February 28th, 2021.
She passed away peacefully at home, under the watchful care and
loving support from her husband John. Linda will be cremated and interred at
Fresno Memorial Gardens, as a final resting place near her mother and father.
Linda Lee Douglass was born on October 17, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois to
Dorothy M. Douglass and William H. Douglass. At the age of 9 the family moved to
Fresno, CA where she graduated from Bullard High School in 1963.
In 1965, Linda Douglass and John Ferneborg wed and together they had a son John.
The family moved to Burlingame, CA in the San Francisco Bay Area, where
she met a group of lifelong friends “The Flamingos”; Kathie, Louise, and Susan.
In 2017, John and Linda relocated to Sun City in Palm Desert, CA.
Linda is survived by her husband of 56 years, John R. Ferneborg;
their son, John W. Ferneborg and his wife, Jeanne Ferneborg;
grandson, Jake Ferneborg, twin granddaughters, Jenna & Jolie Ferneborg;
her sister Jo Anne Prickett, and nieces Jordan Valles & Taylor Herwaldt;
and many other loved ones and close friends that have been
so caring and wonderful throughout her life.
