Marlene Carol Hardesty

February 1, 1933 – April 15, 2024

La Quinta, CA

Marlene Hardesty passed peacefully away at her home. She was originally from Sikeston Sexton, Missouri. After moving to California, she lived in San Francisco, Richmond, El Cerrito, Saratoga and Grass Valley before settling for the last 21 years in La Quinta.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Richard Hardesty happily married for 46 years. They went on many traveling adventures in their motor home. She was especially fond of being close to the ocean. Before the passing of her husband, she made friends with the people in her Alzheimer support group.

She is survived by her 2 children Steven and Susan Dorough, her 3 stepchildren Rick and Todd Hardesty and Susan Hays. Our family is grateful to Rosanne Gleason for being a great help to our mom over the past 10 years.

Richard and Marlene will have their ashes interned at the Riverside National Cemetery. Richard served in the Army 1944 to 1946. Military honors will take place on May 31 at 12:15 pm.
