Wildomar, CA – Mr. Maurice E. Landford of Wildomar California passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at the age of 90 from Alzheimer’s, at home while under hospice care. He was born April 17, 1930, in Blacklick, Ohio, to Ralph E. Landford Sr. and Bertha Lorraine Foor.
Maurice was an aeronautical engineer for nearly 40 years and retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona, CA, July 31, 1993 as a branch manager. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, playing golf, bowling, and traveling. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 16 November, 1950 to 6 November, 1954 and also served one tour of duty in Korea during the Korean War.
Memorial services will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery with full military honors on 10 May, 2021 at 1:45PM.
Mr. Landford was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Landford whom he married on June 5, 1954, at Arnold, PA. She passed away on March 11, 2011. Maurice is survived by sons, Mark and wife, Carol Landford of Wildomar, CA; Craig and wife Michelle Landford, of West Jorden, UT; granddaughter, Sarah Landford of West Jorden, UT; grandsons, Joey and wife Sona Landford, of Wildomar, CA, William Landford of Murrieta, CA, Keil Landford, of West Jorden, UT; and three great-grandchildren, Liam Landford, Ryan Landford, and Aedan Landford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s
Foundation or any local memory care facility.
