Paul was an incredible human. He loved deeply, laughed often, danced a lot and told many captivating stories. He lived many lives in one. He was a DJ while he lived in Chicago where he was born. Then opened a records store where, he put his innovative mind in service of the industry and had the exclusivity of many European records with his company “Imports ETC”.
Paul was one of those who have made a silent mark on the music industry and participated in the emergence of what we know today as House Music alongside known figures like Frankie Knuckles.
When he moved to California, Paul became a realtor before opening a florist shop and later, the Pipe Mart smoke shop where he sold the best glass in the Coachella valley.
Paul was a simple man. He loved his hummingbirds, his family and friends. He loved hosting gatherings in his backyard where laughter and good music weaved like a symphony. He was an artist and an art lover. He had the gift of capturing the most beautiful photographs. And a knack for finding the most unique art pieces.
Paul impacted many humans of different ages, faiths and backgrounds. He had so many stories to tell and teachings to share. He may have left this earthly plain, but his spirit and memory will always live on in his loved ones’ hearts.
Paul will be missed by many, and he is prayed for by people of many different faiths. Even in his death, Paul reminds us that before all labels we are humans.
May you rest in peace, dear friend. We will love you for all of eternity. Until we meet again.
Paul did not wish to have public service. A celebration of life will be held within the intimacy of his close circle.
