She was born May 13, 1949 to Roy John Caldwell of Winnipeg, Canada and Mary Blance Nardi of Bardi Italy in Los Angeles, California. She was the only child who spent her formative years attending private Catholic School in Riverside, California, traveling and enjoying time with her cousins. She attended college at the University of California Riverside at Riverside procuring a degree in English in the 1970's. Following college, she married and embraced motherhood spending her time and energy raising her two daughters Nicole and Noelle and pouring her life into cooking, establishing a catering company, PTA roles at the girl’s school and living as a good neighbor and community advocate. Following her divorce is 1989, she went back to work for the County Schools in San Bernardino and started working on her Master’s degree in higher education. Despite all the odds, she finished her Master’s Degree in the early 1990's. Which was one of her greatest accomplishments second to launching her daughters to successfully complete their higher education as well.
She also founded Phoenix Vocational Services, a vocational rehabilitation agency created to help people
with injuries or disabilities find jobs and resources. It was at Phoenix Vocational that she met the love of her life Primo Pasillas and they have been together ever since.
With a heart for the less fortunate, Bobbi always wanted to give others the chance to have a better life. To that end, she found a niche in juvenile detention where she taught for 27 years and was integral in helping to launch a collaborative program with the University of Redlands that served to mentor several teachers and students and she was able to spark their excitement and passion for teaching. Her impact on the less fortunate and helping many students to procure their GED through adversity is a lasting impact that will be her legacy.
Bobbi blessed her family and friends as a caring wife, mother, and "Nonni", she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Primo Pasillas, and two daughters, Dr. Nicole (John David) Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Noelle (Christiaan) Allebest. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Hudson and Caden John Fitzpatrick and Catherine, Claire and Pieter Allebest.
