Ronald Paul Christensen was born on April 20, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Kenneth Noel Christensen and Evelyn Mae Christensen.
Ron spent his childhood years in Gary Minnesota, his best memories as a child is working for his Uncle Edward Forsell on his farm. He graduated from Gary High School in 1961.
After graduating he went to work in construction with his dad in Sturgis, South Dakota. After a horrific car accident he decided to join the Navy in 1964. Ron served 4 years in the Navy and returned to Minnesota where he met and married his first wife Cheryl. They moved to Huntington Beach, California and Ron started his career as an electrician and went to work for Southern California Edison. Cheryl & Ron had two children Korrie Michele and Paul Kenneth. They raised their family in Southern California and later split after the kids were out of high school.
On September 7,1991 Ron married Deana Lee Jacobson in Menifee, California. There marriage ensued additional family for Ron and he became very influential in Deana’s children’s lives as well as her immediate family.
Ron loved flying, horses, playing cards, family and friends. He always greeted everyone with a smile and his love. He was so proud of his kids and grandkids and smiled ear to ear when talking about them.
In 1998 Ron would retire after 30 years of service from Southern California Edison and used his free time to build an airplane, look after his grandkids, and travel.
Ron is survived by his wife Deana Lee Christensen, Hemet, Ca. Children, Korrie (Jeff) Frank Escondido, Ca. Paul ( Holly) Christensen New Braunfels, Tx and Tamra ( Dave) Smith Menifee, Ca. Grandchildren Kaylawna Joyce Cook ( Tyler) Alexa Christensen( Peter) Kylie Rae Frank, Megan Christensen, Karson Rainer Frank, Sarah Christensen, Tyler John Smith, Christopher, Kenneth and Sebastian Krahn. Great granddaughter Kennedi Lynn Cook. Sister’s Jean Whitson, Candace Robertson and Celeste Forsell-Christensen. Many family who he loved and bragged about as if they were his children. Many cousin’s that he loved like brothers and sister’s.
June 6 , 2022 at 9:30 am Graveside service will held at Riverside National Cemetery. At 11:30 am Celebration of Life will be held at The Lakes at Hemet West 5001 W Florida Ave clubhouse Hemet Ca reception immediately following.
