Ronald Roy Panico

July 9, 1936 – February 26, 2022

On the morning of Saturday, February 26th 2022, Ron Panico passed away at the age of 85 years old due to heart failure. He was a resident of Four Seasons in Hemet, CA.

He served in the USMC as a Sergeant from 1954-1957, and as an Instructor of Communications at the Officer School of Quantico, VA. He earned a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering at Potamac State College/West Coast University. Ron retired after working 35 years as an AT&T Telecommunications, Paradyne District Manager.

Ron was born in Morgantown, West Virginia. Ron became a resident of Huntington Beach in 1972 and he lived in Texas and many other places in Southern California. Ron loved high-performance racing, playing the guitar, listening to music, dancing, reading and eating his favorite Italian food.

He is survived by his wife, Edy Panico, stepdaughters; Andrea Kirkenslager and (Larry) from Huntington Beach, CA, and Gina Jones and (Steven) from Peoria, AZ. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ron is preceded by his first wife, Patty Hess of 57 years, son Jeffrey Panico and daughter Kimberly Mustain; and Ron’s brother John Panico and sister Victoria Edwards. He is survived by his son Vincent Panico.

He is survived by his sister, Gloria Johnson and (Charles), brothers: Dick Panico and (Carlo Jo), Bob Panico and (Rose). He is survived by his nephews; Roman Panico and his ex-wife SeAnna, Curt Johnson, and his niece’s; Millie and (Dustin) Hickman and Bobbie Winczewski.

He is survived by his grandchildren; Travis Strachota and (Lorraine), Paige Mustain-Lakey and (Jonathan), and Nicholas Mustain, and great grandchildren, extended family members and many friends.

A military service will be held in honor of Ronald Roy Panico at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. in Riverside, CA on Tuesday, April 12th at 3:00pm.
