On July 23, 2021, Rosita Cayetano of
Rancho Cucamonga, CA passed away
peacefully surrounded by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Rosita was born in Cebu City in the Philippines on January 9, 1933, to the late Juana and Gabriel Ong. She was 88 years old.
Rosita Cayetano, who loved to be called “Mom” by her daughters-in-law, “Lola” by her grandchildren, and “Rosie” or “Rose” by her friends.
Rosita was mother to Michael, the late Teresa, Gabriel, Cef, and Al. She raised her children with love and devotion in Azusa, California with her husband, the late Marshall R. Cayetano.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, Rosita was known for her sense of humor, compassion, hard worker, respect, and care for patients at their most vulnerable state of illness.
Her hobbies included cooking, planting, shopping for shoes and purses, and trips to Las Vegas with her family. She was most proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family and friends will always remember her as a strong independent woman with a straightforward sense of humor.
She is survived by her sons: Michael, Gabriel and wife Piia, Cef, Al and wife Irma, her Grandchildren: Daniel, Cheyenne, Nicholas, Taylor, Nichole, Kenneth, Tyler, Amanda, Noelani, and Ethan, her Great Grandchildren: Dion, Ryan, Aaliyah, Kayden, Julian, Saint Kross, and Mason.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on September 4, 2021, at 10:00 am. Followed by the scattering of her ashes by Ashes on the Sea in San Pedro at 1:00 pm.
