Cy was born December 31, 1936. He attended Newman High School, San Bernardino Valley College, UC Riverside and was a lifelong scholar attending classes well into his 80s. His love of learning was an inspiration to all who knew him, demonstrating that age should never stop one’s pursuit of wisdom. He met the love of his life Christine while working at San Bernardino County. He worked with San Bernardino County for 38 years before retiring and starting his own business, Land Development Engineering. He continued to work until the last week of his life. His love for his profession was second to his love for his family. He was present in every aspect of his family’s lives, always supporting and pushing them to grow. He was the foundation for the family.
Cy’s love of life a source of joy for all who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious laugh brought smiles to countless faces and helped create lasting memories. Cy was a generous, honorable, and kind man, a true leader. He enjoyed playing cards and going to the river with family and friends. He loved watching his Rams play and especially loved watching his precious granddaughter Maia play volleyball.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, joy and cherished connections that touched many lives. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to guide us though life’s challenges. May he rest in eternal peace.
