Hospital from severe head trauma following a falling accident. He was
born in Mt. View, CA and attended Peterson and Wilcox High Schools in
Sunnyvale from 1978 to 1982. However, he lived and worked in S. Lake
Tahoe for the last three decades where he managed Timber Cove Marina and
piloted boats. In his life, he also taught skiing to children and the
disabled, drove a UPS truck, managed a motel and worked on construction
projects.
A gentle, intelligent man with a big sense of humor, he had loyal
friends. His devoted partner of three years, Kristin Folz writes, "I've
never met a more generous, kind, happy smart ass. He loved to party and
have a good time. He was good at everything: bowling, darts, water and
snow skiing, snowboarding, golfing, rescuing dumb tourists on the lake
and rescuing damsels in distress. He could fix cars and boats and
houses. He was the most fun-loving, open-minded, lucky, stubborn,
patient, non-judgemental, loving soul I ever met. . .gone but never
forgotten."
Craig is also mourned by his former partners Roxanne Mahroom and
Kathleen Clarke. He leaves behind his mother Deloris Kubal, sisters
Denise Roberts and Jacqueline Kubal, and brother Terry Kubal. He is
also survived by 19 nieces and nephews.
