Doris Irene Morgan

Doris was born in Jacksonville, IL August 29,1938 to Floyd and Stella (Hisle) Newbery.

Doris is survived by her two children Deborah Berg (Dennis) and Ken Jacobs (Liz), one nephew, one niece, two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by "adopted" grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her 1st husband John Robert Jacobs and 2nd husband Doug Morgan. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Valerie Jacobs.

Doris worked for the Salvation Army for about 12 years as an area representative and then as Department Director for disaster services and other services. She was a devoted mother and homemaker for many years and also worked as a church secretary.

She enjoyed riding horses, working in the flower garden, dancing in her youth, and spending time with family and friends.

She is loved by many and they all have only kind words to say about her. She was a wonderful Christian lady and loved the Lord Jesus.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 24, 2025 at 1pm at Green Valley Community Church (GVCC) in Placerville, California.
