Eugene Lett Wilson Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and servant to his community, passed away peacefully in Vacaville, California, at the age of 82. Born on September 20, 1942, in Evansville, Indiana, Eugene lived a life of service, kindness, and deep faith.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Eugene carried the values of honor and discipline with him throughout his life. After his military service, he built a career as a locksmith for the local school district, where his quiet dependability left a lasting mark. Beyond his trade, Eugene was also a passionate pastor, counselor, and mentor—dedicating himself to ministering to recovering addicts, the homeless, and anyone in need of compassion.
Eugene found peace and joy in nature, especially in caring for his plants. Whether he was tending to his garden or offering a word of encouragement, he cultivated life and hope wherever he went.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Madeline Wilson; his children, Jeanette Tillotson and Eugene Wilson III; and his cherished grandchildren: David Tillotson II, Sarah Doane, Sonja Epps, Sierra Wilson, and Curtis Wilson and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, James Wilson.
Eugene will be remembered for his unwavering faith, generous heart, and the countless lives he touched. His legacy of love and service lives on in his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eugene Wilson's funeral will be a private military service. After the funeral there will be a memorial service open to all. It will be held at Connection Point church: 5900 Cherry Glen Rd, Vacaville, CA 95688 on June 26th at 12:00pm.
