Born to a life of integrity and service as son of a career Army veteran, Jim embodied the values he held dear: selflessness, faithfulness and an unwavering sense of humor. A proud Marine, wounded during the Korean conflict, he carried his pride of service throughout his life cherishing the freedoms he worked to protect. He was one of the first Americans living in Japan after WWll under MacArthur. He later served and retired from a long and gratifying career at State Farm.
Jim was a man of steadfast faithfulness, especially to his beloved wife Dolores to whom he was devoted throughout their 64 years together. He was a loyal and loving father to his sons, Steven, Jim, and John, and daughters Lori and Jodi, whose affectionate rivalry brought him endless joy. He found immense pride in his talented and energetic grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a part of his legacy.
Known for his sharp wit and hearty laugh, Jim could bring light to any room. His sense of humor, paired with his deep commitment to his family and country will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Jim was unwavering in his principles and proud of his beliefs, including his support for President Trump, as he sought to uphold the values he held so dear. He was a man who stood tall for what he believed and never wavered in his convictions. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and integrity that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of James P. Curl Jr's life will be held at 10 am on 10 Mar 2025 at St. Joseph Murello Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in Jim's memory.
