Judith Lynn Sanders was born December 18, 1942 to Earl Edward Sanders and Audyne LaVerne Wilson in Sacramento, Ca. She passed away January 5, 2025.
Judy was a longtime resident of East Sacramento and attended local schools in the area: Theodore Judah Elementary and Kit Carson Middle school. While attending Sacramento High School , she was an active member of Manana and Job’s Daughters clubs. She graduated from Sacramento High in 1960.
Her career involved working in Telecommunications, Real Estate and Investments. Judy was outgoing and liked talking to and helping people, so her positions as Service Rep at Pacific Bell and Real Estate Agent at GBC Realtors were well suited for her and she enjoyed both careers.
Judy enjoyed also playing bridge for many years with dear friends from the East Sacramento area. She always spoke fondly of the ‘Bridge Group’.
In later years, reading was a pastime of hers with books depicting the 1800’s era being her favorite.
She is survived by her only child, Jason Earl Ellick, born when she was married to Thomas Ellick.
Other survivors are her brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Lin Sanders, of Fiddletown and step-daughter, Shelly Randall-Gantenbein of Sacramento.
She was pre-deceased by her step-son, Greg Randall and former husband, Robert (Bob) Randall.
Being a lover of nature, she found solace going to the ocean. Immediate family and friends will commemorate her life by scattering ashes at Bodega Bay in May, 2025.
