Kazuko “June” Fauson: June was born June 29, 1928 in Jiyugaoka, Meguro Prefecture, Tokyo, Japan. She attended St Hida’s Girls Catholic School in Japan graduating high school. In later years she attended Monterey Peninsula College majoring in Art.
June was a Melvin Jones, Diamond Fellow in the Marina Lion’s Club of Marina California for more than 35 years. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross at Munich General Hospital, Madigan General Hospital, and Silas B Hayes General Hospital. June also volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts, Junior Achievement, City of Hope, an Illustrator for the military’s 105 grenade launcher and she made silk flower arrangements for many organizations.
Her hobbies were painting, ceramics, silk flower arrangements, ballroom dancing, especially the tango, which took her to Argentina to learn from the masters.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Tatsuo and Hanako Endo Makita, husband Jules Fauson Jr., and brother Yukio Makita. June is survived by her daughter Jean Fauson Simpson and son Jules James (Candace) Fauson also four grandsons and two granddaughters, three great grandsons and three great granddaughters.
No services will be held per June’s request. If Inclined support the local Lion’s Club in June’s behalf.
