Kenneth “Ken” Arthur Corwin was born on April 26, 1948, in Oakland, California, the only child of Arthur Corwin and Dorothy Ferrario. Ken grew up in Hayward learning to navigate the ways of the world. He was a record making pole vaulter at Sunset High School. In 1966, Ken met the love of his life, Linda DuRegger, at an away track meet when he stole her school ID card to look her up and ask her out “hey baby where you been all my life”. While that line didn’t work in the moment, Ken and Linda became high school sweethearts.
In 1966, at the age of 18, Ken enlisted in the United States Navy. Ken served as a corpsman on the USS Cogswell until 1969. Ken was active during the Vietnam War. After the service, Ken returned to school attending Chabot College in Hayward, California.
In 1971, Ken and Linda were married. They spent 54 wonderful years being married. They had 3 children, Marie, Kellie, and Lori. Ken and Linda raised their family in California, Missouri, Connecticut and back to California.
Ken began his career legacy in 1971 at JC Penny as the manager of the Auto Service Center. He quickly advanced in his career, changing companies to Gottschalks, Target, Venture Stores, West Marine and Duty Free as President of the Airport Division.
Ken enjoyed traveling with work, family and friends. He was fortunate to visit much of Europe. Ken found joy in reminiscing and sharing stories of family vacations and his travels. A few highlights being a RV trip to Wyoming, Hawaii and Italy. Austria, Germany held a special place in Ken and Linda’s hearts as they experienced the magic of the Winter Season.

• Daughter Kellie A. Love and partner Jon Pereria, their family Callum, Jackson, Luna and Stella of Davis, Ca
• Daughter Lori M. Oates, her sons Carter and Greyson of Santa Cruz, Ca
• His dogs Josie and Sophia
• Family and Friends
In life, Ken was eager to offer advice, lend a helping hand and being a great provider. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and his stories.
