She was born in San Gabriel, CA in 1954 to Adrian and Sally Nathan. In 1957 the family moved to Sacramento and her father took a job at AeroJet as a Rocket Mechanic. Sandi attended Foothill High School before studying Business Data Processing at American River College. She spent most of her career as an Accounting Technician and later as an Accountant I with the State of California.
Sandi will always be remembered for her love of TV and movies and the way that she would go off on tangents about actors and which other movies or TV shows they were in. She also loved live theatre and had season tickets to both The Music Circus and the Broadway on Tour shows. Sandi also found time to volunteer at a local Community Theater, working in the box office.
At gatherings, she’d wear a t-shirt with a fun saying or cute image. Dragons, sunflowers and the color purple were her favorites. We will miss Sandi every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents Adrian and Sally; her siblings Jeff and Zelinda; her son Morris; and two grandchildren. She is survived by her spouse Gene; her children Betty, Everett, Sarah and Tiffany; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Her Celebration of Life is July 28, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Citrus Heights Community Center, South Flex Room, 6300 Fountain Square Dr, Citrus Heights, CA.
Donations to the American Heart Association of Sacramento would be greatly appreciated.
